"Apeiron" and two state universities from Russia are organizing a joint seminar for Russian language teachers in primary and secondary schools in Republika Srpska

The international scientific and methodological seminar "Theory and Practice of Teaching Russian in Primary and Secondary Schools of the Republic of Srpska" will be held on April 25 in an online format. The organizer of the seminar is the Cabinet of the "Russian World" Foundation, which has been operating at the Pan-European University since 2012.

The co-organizers of the seminar are our long-term partners - State Institute of the Russian Language «AS Pushkin» (Moscow) and Tyumen State University (Tyumen).

The main goal of the seminar is to exchange experiences among teachers and introduce modern methods into the process of teaching Russian in primary and secondary schools.

The seminar will be attended by professors of Russian as a foreign language from universities in Russia and the Republika Srpska, as well as professors of Russian from our primary and secondary schools.

Lately, learning the Russian language in schools in the Republika Srpska has become increasingly popular. This seminar will establish the main perspectives in the training of future teachers of the Russian language for schools in Republika Srpska, determine the available and necessary resources for this endeavor, as well as provide assistance to young teachers who begin their teaching work in schools.

The following topics will be discussed at the seminar:

• the current position of the Russian language in the educational system of the Republika Srpska;
• Russian language curriculum in primary and secondary schools;
• requirements regarding the level of knowledge of the Russian language for school students;
• contemporary methods of teaching the Russian language in the Serbian-speaking environment;
• experience in creating nationally oriented dictionaries, textbooks and teaching materials (manuals)

We invite Russian language teachers, methodologists and researchers of the Russian language to participate in the international seminar "Theory and Practice of Teaching Russian Language in Primary and Secondary Schools of the Republic of Srpska".
