DRWO4.0 and Pollack Expo 2025 in Pecs: Apeiron's students in the focus of innovation
The Pan-European University "Apeiron" proudly highlights the success of its students, Daniel Menićanin and Jelena Radanović, who participated in the Train the Trainers training program as part of the international DRWO3 project on April 4 and 2025, 4.0. The training was held at the Faculty of Technical and Information Technologies of the University of Pécs (PTE MIK), and as part of the event, the students also attended the POLLACK EXPO exhibition, which brings together experts and partners from across the region.
Daniel and Jelena used this opportunity to establish contacts with regional experts, gain new knowledge about sustainable and digital wood processing, and further enrich their professional perspective. This visit represents an exceptional opportunity for further professional development and promotes the values of the Pan-European University "Apeiron" in the field of innovation, cooperation, and application of the most modern industrial trends.
On the first day, they attended a Train-the-Trainers workshop on sustainable construction and the circular economy, with an expert lecture by Alexandre Győrfi (PTE MIK) on innovative solutions in the wood industry.
On the second day, during the SO1 Partner Meeting, modern mechatronic solutions for the wood industry and successful practices of energy-efficient systems were presented, with presentations by Tamás Bitó (PTE MIK) and Fakopp Enterprise Bt. Our students' solution for automating old hydraulic presses, which allows for work optimization and energy savings, was particularly highlighted.
This two-day engagement in Pécs confirms the commitment of the Pan-European University "Apeiron" to international cooperation, improvement of professional competences and support of young innovators. Through active participation in projects and visits to important events, students gain valuable experience and contacts, contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for the wood industry and beyond.
