- this is the message of the dean from the Educons University, which started the international scientific meeting of the Pan-European University "Sports Sciences and Health"



"Since the first year, I have been following the work of this scientific meeting and I conclude that for 13 years you have been constantly raising the quality of the conference with the quality of scientific papers. Continue to be a generator of contemporary academic ideas," said Milan Nešić, dean of the Faculty of Sports and Psychology of Educons University from Novi Sad, who officially opened the 13th international scientific conference "Sports Sciences and Health" on March 16.

The guest from Novi Sad added that the cooperation of academic communities is necessary and that the success of this is evidenced by the cooperation of the higher education institution from which he comes and the University "Apeiron".


The organizer of the scientific meeting is the Pan-European University "Apeiron" Banja Luka and its members, the Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Faculty of Health Sciences, and this year it was held online.

The first speaker, prof. Ivan Prskalo, Ph.D., from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Teachers, Department of Kinesiology Education, will speak about "Modern school physical education in the function of proper growth and development of children and youth".


"Very current topics, one of which concerns autism and was researched by Professor Perrotta Francesco, a professor from Italy, marked the conference. Professor Marko Aleksandrović from the University of Niš pointed out the need for inclusive sports to be part of the curriculum in all physical education and sports study programs. "Also, the observations of Professor Nataša Milenović from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Novi Sad, who stated that it is often forgotten that people with disabilities achieve top sports results," said Prof. Ph.D. Velibor Srdić, president of the Organizational Committee of the Conference and dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of "Apeiron" University.

He added that the work will continue tomorrow at 10 a.m.

With 46 reports, more than a hundred locals and authors from Italy, Slovenia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Spain, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia participated and thus contributed to current topics in the field of sports and health.

There are three thematic areas of the scientific meeting - sports and health, physical education and school sports, training technology in sports and primarily deal with the connection between sports and human health.

For the second day of the Conference, poster presentations by students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences are planned: Sara Obradović on the topic "Articulation of the lesson", Dragana Svitlica - "Basketball in wheelchairs" and Marina Makivić, who will present the topic "Physical preparation of tennis players".


The conference was included in the ranking list of categorized meetings of the Ministry for Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska as a scientific meeting with international participation.

The co-organizers of the scientific meeting are the National Pedagogical University from Kazakhstan, the Lipetsk Pedagogical University from Russia, the Vocational School for the Education of Teachers and Trainers in Subotica, the Faculty of Sports and Tourism, Novi Sad, and the Gerlev Sports Academy, Denmark.

The conference is intended for physical education professors, sports trainers, doctors, pedagogues, psychologists, sports organizations, sports managers and other experts related to sports and health.

The Pan-European University publishes the international journal "Sports Science and Health" twice a year, which is indexed in several international citation databases, and Elsevier Scopus and Erich Plus are some of them.
