AT THE RECTOR'S CONFERENCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA, A MINUTE OF SILENCE WAS OBSERVED TO THE VICTIMS IN BELGRADE AND MLADENOVEC




At the 40th regular session of the Rector's Conference of Republika Srpska, held on May 5, members observed a minute's silence in honor of the fallen students and school staff in Belgrade and the victims in Mladenovac.


The Assembly of the Rector's Conference gave full support in the activities of the departmental Ministry for Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska, the Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, the Republic of Education Inspection of the Republic of Srpska, and other competent authorities for the implementation of regulations in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina. on intensifying control of the implementation of regulations at all higher education institutions in the Republic of Srpska.


The Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska and the Agency for the Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina were requested to, in cooperation with the competent educational authorities in the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, update the Register of accredited higher education institutions in the Republic of Srpska, i.e. the Register accredited higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with the provisions of the current regulations.


Full support was given to the Agency for Higher Education of the Republika Srpska and the Agency for the Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of submitting an application for full membership in the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), and calls for intensifying all activities in this sense.


The Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina was invited to, in accordance with its competences and in cooperation with the competent educational authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, intensify activities related to the establishment and adoption of the qualification framework for Bosnia and Herzegovina.


The Assembly of the Rector's Conference of the Republika Srpska invited the competent educational authorities and institutions in the Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina to, through direct communication with partner institutions in the countries of the region, above all in the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia, undertake all activities that would lead to finding a solution to the problem evaluation of higher education documents in the countries of the region that were obtained in the Republic of Srpska, that is, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.


At the session, the financial plan for the next year and the financial report for the previous year were adopted.


The chairmanship of the Rector's Conference from February 2022 was assumed by the Pan-European University "Apeiron", and the rector, prof. Dr. Sanel Jakupović was appointed chairman.


Full members of the Rectors' Conference are the rectors of eight public and private licensed universities in the Republic of Srpska.
