"For 16 years, the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the RS has sponsored this very prestigious conference", is the message of Academician Dragoljub Mirjanić


On Friday, September 27, the Faculty of Information Technologies of "Apeiron" University hosted scientists from Estonia, South Africa, Russia and surrounding countries, who presented their achievements at the 16th international scientific conference IteO, Information Technologies for e-Education.


The conference was officially opened by the vice president of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska, academician, prof. Dr. Dragoljub Mirjanić. The academic emphasized that the ITeO conference is one of the ways for domestic researchers with their guests from Russia, South Africa, Estonia and surrounding countries to contribute to the affirmation and development of information technologies. "For 16 years, the Academy has been a sponsor of very important conferences," emphasized Academician Mirjanić.


The rector of "Apeiron" University, prof. Dr. Sanel Jakupović. "From this point, I invite the scientific and teaching young people of the University "APEIRON" to, together with their older colleagues, continue to develop the quality of the ITEO scientific group in the years ahead with the dynamic challenges of the digital revolutions that are yet to come," said the rector.


From Estonia, (Tallinn University of Technology, Tallinn) as an introductory speaker, prof. Dr. Sanja Bauk, who spoke about cyber security in maritime affairs. Vladimir Mladenović, professor of the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, University of Kragujevac, also spoke about security methods in crypto-protection, also in the opening presentation.


More than 20 papers were approved for presentation, which met the criteria of the Conference. Acknowledgments were solemnly presented to the initiators of the scientific conference ITeO and the international magazine The Journal of Informational Technology and Applications (JITA): academician, prof. Dr. Dušan Starčević, academician, prof. Dr. Zoran Ž. Avramović, prof. Dr. Gordani Radić and Prof. Dr. Branko Latinović. These names bring merit to the scientific gathering that has been trying for 16 years to acquaint its participants with the impact of advanced ICT in electronic education, as well as with the application of information technologies in all spheres of life, and which has produced over 500 scientific papers.
