SPECIAL OLYMPIADS AND FACULTY OF SPORTS SCIENCES IN NEW PROJECTS

On September 23, the Special Olympics and the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the Pan-European University "Apeiron" signed a memorandum of cooperation, through which, through the "Let's play together-learn together" project, they will work together to encourage the creation of inclusive communities, through a combined program for sports and education. The signatories are the executive director of the Special Olympics, prof. dr Kada Delić Selimović and the dean, prof. Dr. Velibor Srdić.

- The goal is to jointly contribute to the promotion of school communities in which all young people are agents of change - encouraging respect, dignity and the right to equality for people with intellectual disabilities, said prof. Dr. Velibor Srdić, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences. He added that he will support the joint efforts of inclusive activities within the project "Play together - learn together", which the Special Olympics will implement with the "Stavros Niakros" Foundation.

The Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Special Olympics have so far implemented a number of joint projects. Only the "Days of Inclusive Sports" brought together dozens of children and most directly involved them in numerous activities.
