JUBILEE EDASOL GATHERED SCIENTISTS FROM THREE CONTINENTS - THE PRIME MINISTER OPENED THE SCIENTIFIC MEETING

Conference on economic development and living standards dedicated to COVID 19


"The task of all of us is to contribute to mitigating the consequences of the pandemic through the exchange of experiences, scientific and research work. That's why EDASOL is part of that mosaic and a bright example that even in these conditions it is possible to cooperate, exchange and research with the aim of searching for the optimum solution as the best answer today" said the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, solemnly opening the tenth Conference on economic development and standard of living "EDASOL 2020", on November 13, in which he participated with two scientific papers. Because of epidemiological situation, the conference was held online via the Zoom application. The organizer of the conference is the Faculty of Business Economics of the Pan-European University "Apeiron".


"In my work, I dealt with the topic of reorganization of the operations of logistics companies of public interest in the Republic of Srpska with the application of modern management principles, in order to show that in addition to the social and responsible work that I currently do, I can contribute to being the initiator of the reorganization process in times of crisis.", emphasized the Prime Minister.



EDASOL 2020 brought together scientists from three continents who presented works on many topics, the main one being entitled: "Economic challenges and consequences of the COVID 19 pandemic on developing countries".  


"The fact that some participants are from countries in other time zones, such as Professor Jose Vargas Hernandez from Mexico, who will present his work at 3 am. It's 12:40 local time”, said Aljoša Kostić, technical secretary of the conference.


The first presenter was Syed Abdul Rehman Khan from the People's Republic of China, professor at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University, Beijing. His paper was entitled "INCREASING RISK OF COVID-19 IN GLOBAL ECONOMY: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY IN THE CONTEXT OF TOP EXPORTING COUNTRIES".


The introductory lecture was also held by a long-time associate of "Apeiron" University, Professor Kiymet Tunca Kaliyurt, who comes from the Faculty of Trakya, University of Edirne. She spoke on the subject "ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING IN COVID TIMES".



This year, EDASOL collected 41 scientific and professional papers, 95 authors from 11 countries – Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, China, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Austria, Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia and the host country.


"We are happy and satisfied since this year's conference achieved significantly greater success than the previous 3 conferences in terms of the number of submitted papers. The presented papers will be forwarded to editorial boards for review and those that meet the criteria will be published in the international scientific journal "EMC REVIEW", which is indexed in the ESCI (WoS) database., said the president of the EDASOL 2020 Organizing Committee, prof.
