MIRJANA LANDIKA IS THE NEW DEAN OF THE FACULTY OF BUSINESS ECONOMICS

After 18 years of male leadership, a woman was elected to the head of the oldest faculty

Rector of "Apeiron" University, prof. dr Sanel Jakupović appointed prof. Dr. Mirjan Landik as the new dean of the Faculty of Business Economics, on September 30 at the 177th session of the Senate, on the proposal of the Teaching and Research Council and for a mandate period of 4 years.

- Mirjana Landika possesses exceptional quality in her previous academic and scientific work at the Pan-European University "Apeiron" in the past 12 years of her engagement. Her scientific contribution, high business responsibility, professionalism, expertise, ethics and morality positioned her in the leadership position of the oldest faculty of our University, said the rector, prof. Dr. Sanel Jakupović.

Prof. Landika has been working with students for years on Quantitative Methods and Models, Statistics, Market Theory and Operational Research in Engineering. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Brčko in 2005 and a year later received her master's degree at the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka. At the same faculty, she received her doctorate in 2010, defending her thesis on Quantitative models in the function of harmonizing management vision and reality.

We would like to remind you that the new leadership elections at "Apeiron" University were brought about by the retirement of the rector, academician prof. Dr. Zorana Ž. Avramović, who remains engaged in teaching with us. Professor dr. Sanel Jakupović, who served as dean of the Faculty of Business Economics on September 10, was appointed as the new rector.
