The importance of the digital platform of innovation for young innovators and the possibility of merging with the industry were presented on September 30 in the Youth Center, organized by the Association of Innovators of the Republic of Srpska, and our student innovators were invited to present their innovation path. CIDEA, the City Development Agency of Banjaluka, also supported the event.
The event was attended by representatives from the field of innovation and education: director of the Agency for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Srpska, Biljana Vojvodić, director of the City Development Agency Cidea Banja Luka, Neven Stanić, president of the Association of Innovators of the Republic of Srpska, Milovan Bajić, secretary of the Association of Innovators, Ljubiša Pašić, president Association of Innovators, Ana Lojić, as well as many other prominent experts from industry and the academic community.
Daniel Menićanin, Jelena Radanović, Nikola Račić, Zoran Glamočak and Danijel Gajić, students of the Faculty of Information Technologies, shared their personal experiences about what it takes for young people to become innovators, bravely step into the world of technology and innovation, and realize their ideas.
"We introduced the Innovation Center of the University "Apeiron", which provides students with constant support in the development of innovations, and we invited high school students to participate in free programming courses in the programming languages C, C++, Python and C#.NET, because we believe that these are key skills for the future," said Jelena Radanović, associate at the programming section organized within the Innovation Center. Danijel Gajić, who attends this very section, inspired the audience by telling his story from his participation in the section to his employment at LEGIT, the first company that develops video games in Banja Luka. "Education and innovation can help young people to develop, improve their skills and find their place in the IT world," said Gajić.
Visitors could also see the exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the great scientist Mihajlo Pupin.
