44 SCIENTIFIC PAPERS ON THE SUBJECTS OF COVID, SPORTS AND HEALTH PRESENTED AT THE CONFERENCE

The 11th International Scientific Meeting "Sports Sciences and Health" was held at "Apeiron" University


With 44 presented scientific and professional reports, the eleventh international conference "Sports Sciences and Health" was held online on March 18 and 19, organized by the Pan-European University "Apeiron" and its members, the Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Faculty of Health Sciences.

More than a hundred authors from Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina participated and thus contributed to current topics in the field of sports and health.


The conference was officially opened by the rector, academician prof. Dr. Zoran Ž. Avramović, and via video call the scientific meeting was greeted by prof. Dr. Rajko Kuzmanović, President of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska and Assistant Minister for Sports, Mario Đuran, representative of the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Srpska.


The letter of support was sent by the Minister for Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society, Srđan Rajčević, MSc, in which he points out that the ministry is aware of the importance of the conference, which it has supported for many years, and that its inclusion in the ranking list of categorized scientific gatherings of this ministry is proof of that. The letter was also sent by MD. Alen Šeranić, Minister of Health and Social Protection and emphasized that this is a very important meeting, recognizable for its scientific and professional progress.


- There are three thematic areas - sports and health, physical education and school sports and training technology in sports. The topics primarily deal with the connection between sport and human health. Considering the pandemic, it is understandable that the emphasis of the conference was related to covid and human physical activity. Other interesting topics were also presented. One of them is the work of Almir Mašala, professor of the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education of the University of Sarajevo, who spoke about the marketing and promotion of sports events, said prof. Dr. Velibor Srdić, President of the Conference Organizing Committee. He emphasized that the impressive number of participants, with over 40 scientific and research institutions, is proof that the scientific and research process does not stand still and that there is great interest in holding a conference of this type continuously, at least through online applications.


In the introductory lecture on "Covid 19 and physical activities of adolescents", Prof. Dr. Nataša Zenić from the Faculty of Kinesiology from Split. An interesting piece of information she found through research is a study that says that during the pandemic, the best physical activity was recorded in children whose parents were better educated, and who at the same time did not report any kind of conflict or disagreement with their parents.


Milan Nešić, professor at the Faculty of Sports and Tourism of the University of "Edukons" Novi Sad and Velibor Srdić, dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of "Apeiron" spoke about the "Pandemic, the perception of quality of life and physical exercise".


The co-organizers of the scientific meeting are the National Pedagogical University from Kazakhstan, the Lipetsk Pedagogical University from Russia, the Vocational School for the Education of Teachers and Trainers in Subotica, the Faculty of Sports and Tourism, Novi Sad, and the Gerlev Sports Academy, Denmark.


The conference is intended for physical education professors, sports trainers, doctors, pedagogues, psychologists, sports organizations, sports managers and other experts related to sports and health.
The Pan-European University publishes the international magazine "Sports Science and Health" twice a year, which is indexed in several international citation databases.
