NEW DEAN AND VICE-DEAN OF THE FACULTY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SINIŠA TOMIĆ AND DALIBOR DRLJAČA

With new energy, we will focus on the best results with our students, said the newly elected dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies

Rector of "Apeiron" University, prof. Dr. Sanel Jakupović at the beginning of October appointed prof. Siniša Tomić, Ph.D., as the new dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies, on the proposal of the Teaching and Research Council and for a mandate period of 4 years. The new dean appointed prof. Dr. Dalibor Drljač, for the same mandate period.

Prof. Dr. Siniša Tomić is a full-time associate professor, employed since 2010 at the Faculty of Information Technologies of "Apeiron" University.

He is the author of the book "Advanced Studio Techniques", which deals with advanced composite video techniques, sound engineering in film, and other special effects and techniques that are an integral part of advanced digital video production. He is also the author of a scientific monograph entitled "Effects and inductive character of the multimedia concept of electronic education in Bosnia and Herzegovina".

"I never save energy when I am expected to impart knowledge, and now, given the place that has fallen to me, I am bringing in a new one." Together with the vice dean, other colleagues and students, our focus will be on achieving the best results in all fields," said the dean.

Professor Tomić is a regular participant in international scientific and professional conferences and is a reviewer in 4 high-rated international scientific journals. He is a participant, expert lecturer or implementer of several professional projects in the fields of education, industry, culture, etc. Professor Tomić's fields of activity are: raster graphics, vector graphics, 3D design, 3D modeling, 3D and 2D computer animation, production of video spots and reports, digital special effects, digital video production and post-production, sound engineering, music production, creation of virtual spaces, advanced studio techniques, camera tracking, creating visual identities, software design, digital print preparation in all forms, photography, digital promotions, electronic education, DL distance learning systems, system analysis, education, development.

He works commercially in the field of computer design, sound engineering, video production and computer animation for a large number of serious clients, both here and in Europe, Australia and America.

Asst. Dr. Dalibor P. Drljača, our new vice dean, during his career he worked in various jobs in the public and private sector. Since 1996, he has been actively involved in the preparation and implementation of projects in the field of education and science financed by domestic and foreign donors (World Bank, JICA, SIDA, NORAD, EU). He gained special experience in working with the European Commission, which hired him for several years as their expert for project management and promotion of Framework Programs for financing science, innovation and research in Southeast Asian countries (Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore). Japan and Africa (Rwanda, Tunisia, Kenya, Ethiopia). He has published dozens of scientific and professional papers, 5 books, and since 2024 he has been appointed editor-in-chief of the Journal of Information Technology and Applications (JITA).
