Starting today, "Apeiron" students will be able to attend trials for the most serious crimes
Our Dean of the Faculty of Legal Sciences and the President of the District Court signed an agreement on cooperation.
The District Court in Banja Luka has opened its doors to students of the Faculty of Legal Sciences who will from the academic year 2024/25. year to have the opportunity to do practical classes in this institution. The practice was made possible thanks to the agreement signed today by the President of the District Court, Marija Aničić-Zgonjanin, and the Dean of the Faculty of Legal Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ljubinko Mitrović.
"The district court has a special department for combating corruption, organized and the most serious forms of economic crime, and students will have the opportunity to attend trials for organized crime and corruption, violent crime, but also for war crimes and other serious crimes. We are mutually working to improve the practical training of our students, and the goal is to get the best potential staff for our justice system," emphasized Dean Mitrović. He added that they also discussed special lectures that judges and other court employees would hold for students, about publishing, organization of joint scientific conferences, etc.
The signing of the agreement was also attended by the rector of "Apeiron" University, prof. dr Sanel Jakupović, vice dean of the Faculty of Legal Sciences, prof. Dr. Zorica Drljača and the secretary of the District Court, Milena Marković.
