URBAN MOBILITY SUMMER SCHOOL HELD IN THE ORGANIZATION OF OUR UNIVERSITY AND CENTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
The Center for the Environment organized a summer school of urban mobility in cooperation with the Pan-European University "Apeiron". This activity is implemented as part of the ClimaSUM project, in which the Center and CDV - Center for Transport, vvi partners ODRAZ-Sustainable Community Development.
During the five days of the summer school, students, both from traffic and from other faculties in Bosnia and Herzegovina, had the opportunity to become more familiar with the topic of urban mobility, both with different possibilities and practices, as well as with difficulties in this area.
The urban mobility summer school was opened with outdoor film screenings in the Mladen Stojanovič park, on the topic of urban mobility.
On the first day of lectures, those present could listen to the lectures of Prof. Dr. Danislav Drašković on the topic of contemporary models of organizing public urban passenger transportation, and Tihomir Dakić on the topic of advocating the development of bicycle traffic. Ahmed Ćerimović, in front of the Next bike system of shared bicycles, held lectures on the topic of the public bicycle system, also referring to the existing network in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Vladimir Borisavljević, in front of the design house Urbis centar, opened the second day of lectures, trying to bring together the various challenges that the profession faces in the planning process. On that day, students also had the opportunity to learn about different examples and initiatives implemented in Belgrade, which were presented by Tihomir Dičić in the middle of Streets for cyclists, as well as gender aspects in public space, which were presented by Dragana Dardić in front of the Helsinki Citizens' Parliament. In addition to the lecture, the participants had the opportunity, during practical work, to familiarize themselves with the situation on the ground, and to think about potential solutions that can be implemented when it comes to connecting the bicycle infrastructure in Banja Luka.
