Students with Assistant Professor Tamara Marić visited the Correctional Institution

Third-year students of the Faculty of Legal Sciences of the Pan-European University with assistant professor. Dr. Tamarom Marić visited Banja Luka Correctional Institution (KPZ) on May 2. The visit was organized as part of the practical part of the lesson within the subject of Penology, where the subject teacher is Assoc. Marić.

During the several-hour visit, the students had the opportunity to learn about the practical activities and daily experiences of the members of the Treatment Service and the Security Service of this institution. They visited the admission-discharge department of the prison, the health service, the enhanced surveillance pavilion, the solitary confinement cell, the rooms where the prisoners stay, as well as the detention department. They also visited the premises of the Correctional Home for Juveniles, which is located within the Banja Luka Penitentiary.

The Ministry of Justice of the Republika Srpska and the administration of Banja Luka Penitentiary opened opportunities for our students to acquire additional practical knowledge and experience, and this is an opportunity to thank them most heartily for that.
