Study visit to the University of Ljubljana within the SMEQA project
As part of the Erasmus+ project SMEQA - Strengthening capacities and mechanisms for improving the quality assurance system in higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a three-day study visit to the University of Ljubljana was organized from June 10 to 12, 2025.
On the first day, participants had the opportunity to learn in detail about the quality assurance system of the University of Ljubljana and to exchange experiences with project partners. Topics discussed included internal quality monitoring at the level of study programmes, faculties and universities, the role of the quality committee, as well as examples of good practice in the field of work-based learning.
On the second day, an internal workshop dedicated to the improvement of internal quality assurance mechanisms was held. The discussions were meaningful and constructive, and the participants exchanged useful practices and suggestions for the further development of the quality system.
The third day was dedicated to the coordination of project activities and planning of next steps. Proposals for improved external evaluation models (WP2), ongoing project activities (WP3), as well as dissemination activities (WP5) were discussed. The remaining activities for the second project year and the preparation of the Progress Report were also analyzed. The visit ended with final reviews and conclusions.
The study visit to the University of Ljubljana was a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, strengthen partnerships, and improve the quality assurance system in higher education.
