Elementary and high school students passed on the prize they won for the construction of the house "Predah"
"Apeiron" University is very proud to announce that elementary and high school students, with the professional mentoring of our students Daniel Menićanin and Jelena Radanović, won 18rd place on October 3 at the prestigious Sarajevo Innovations Festival (SIFI), one of the most significant events dedicated to innovations in the region. The young innovators decided to pass on the award for humanitarian purposes, specifically for the construction of the "Respite" house intended for the temporary and long-term care of children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities.
Talented students, Đorđe Gajić (3rd grade of Electrical Engineering School, Banja Luka), Tarik Đonlagić (1st grade of Electrical Engineering School, Prijedor), Filip Ćustić (8th grade of Georgios A. Papandreu Elementary School, Laktaši) and Strahinja Pajić (9th grade) "Aleksa Šantić" Elementary School, Banja Luka), presented the DVD Engraver CNC machine project, an innovative solution that uses parts from DVD devices for precise engraving. In addition to the exceptional creativity it has shown, this project also promotes recycling and sustainable development through the use of already existing materials in new technological applications.
The credit for the achieved success also goes to our mentors, students of the Faculty of Information Technologies of "Apeiron" University, Daniel Menićanin and Jelena Radanović, who lead the programming section organized within the "Apeiron" Innovation Center and who, with their knowledge and experience, led the team through the development of this unique solution. .
We congratulate the young innovators and mentors on their dedication, hard work and creativity, which has been recognized at the regional level. The award represents another step towards encouraging innovation and technological development among young people, which is the goal of our University.
Also, we point out that Daniel Menićanin was a panelist at this event, and they discussed the innovative path of the panelists and the way in which they achieved their successes. Daniel's rich experiences in innovation and mentoring contributed to an inspiring discussion about the challenges and opportunities on the way to the realization of technological innovations.
Those present at the Festival also showed great interest in the project Using HARQ in LoRa technology, which was presented by Jelena Radanović and Nikola Račić, also a student of the Faculty of Information Technologies.
