"APEIRON" UNIVERSITY IS A MEMBER OF THE PROJECT CONSORTIUM UNDER THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAM

"Apeiron" University is a member of the project consortium within the Erasmus+ program

Pan-European University "Apeiron" participates in the project Strengthening Capacities and Mechanisms for Enhancement of Quality Assurance System in Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina (SMEQA-ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE-STRAND-3) financed by the European Commission, and the budget is 936 Euro.

The University of Zenica is the coordinator of the project in which 18 other institutions from Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU participate - higher education institutions from BiH, the competent ministries of education, the Agency for the Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance in BiH, the Agency for Higher Education of the Republika Srpska, higher education institutions from Slovenia and Croatia, the Agency for Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Croatia and the National Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.

The activities of the project, which lasts for three years, are focused on the establishment of a mechanism of coordination and harmonization of the quality assurance system in higher education through the development of the accreditation model of study programs in the RS and BiH, the strengthening of human capacities in the institutions of the RS and BiH, the improvement of cooperation between the institutions that participate in the accreditation process, developing a plan for the education of experts who carry out the accreditation process in the RS and BiH, etc. Special emphasis is placed on strengthening higher education institutions in the RS and BiH to develop internal procedures for quality assurance.

At the first meeting held at the University of Zenica in March 2024, the governing board of the consortium was formed, and Elveldina Tatarević, assistant director for legal issues, was chosen as the representative of the Pan-European University, while the Pan-European University will be represented by Assoc. Dr. Živana Kljajić, head of the Center for Quality Assurance.
