The Senate of the Pan-European University is the highest academic body of the University, which has responsibility for academic issues of the University's work and which, as a scientific and professional body, takes care of the development and basic educational and academic activities of the University, the realization of the university's scientific and research functions and the realization of its social mission.

The university senate consists of the rector, vice-rectors, faculty deans, directors of scientific research institutes, as well as students from among regular students who have enrolled for the first year of study, from all study cycles organized at the higher education institution.

Competences, methods of work and other issues important for the work of the Senate of the Pan-European University are determined by the Law on Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska (Official Gazette of RS 67/20) and the Rules of Procedure of the Senate of PUA..
